Papillon Refiner Gentle fiber treatment with low energy consumption.The AND RITZ Papillon refiner consists of a cylindrical shaped refining zone.The cylindrical geometry combines gentle and stable fiber treatment from inlet to outlet, low energy consumption, and simplified equipment maintenance.The cylindrical refiner, with its extremely small diameter of refining area, is miserly with energy and is much more energy efficient than conventional design.

Compact and stable design of the Papillon results in low space demand, and accurate gap adjustment. Easy and comfortable access to the refiner segments ensures the shortest possible
down-time. Central inflow into the refining area together with optimized plate design delivers high throughput. The gentle treatment of the fibers throughout the refining stage results in superior fiber – and superior paper properties, such as
high tensile and tear.
