The historically-developed structure of the mill, located in the center of Gratkorn, placed high demands on all parties involved. In particular, the ambitious work schedule and the extremely narrow location at the mill site required a sophisticated and detailed engineering solution. Much care was also given to environmental protection issues, as well as the protection of the neighboring residential area from emissions, dust, and noise

• Based on SAPPI’s great confidence in GAW’s know-how in the field of peripheral systems for paper and coating machines, the company appointed GAW as turn-key supplier for these aspects of the project. The use of networking within the GAW-Group helped to ensure that the project would be finished on time, fulfilling all guaranteed production and quality criteria.
